FAQs
-
Are DURNFORD Products natural?Yes. All our products are handmade, using natural ingredients. No chemicals, parabens or sulphates are used in our cosmetics, and our gardeners follow a regenerative growing system, where we grow in the most natural way possible, whilst disturbing the soil as little as possible. We try not to leave growing areas without crops or grassland, and use natural inputs to fertilise the ground which means we can create the best biodiversity, with minimal disturbance to the natural ecosystem.
-
Where do the ingredients come from? Most of our products are inspired by our very own kitchen garden here at the Great Durnford Estate, meaning we grow them ourselves. Where this is not possible, we source as locally as possible, or seek out the best of the best, as naturally / carbon neutral as possible. We are committed to planting and growing more of our own products as our small business grows. We are also committed to working with partners with the same ethos - companies all over the UK, and a few abroad, who have organic, sustainable and ethical at their heart, often family run businesses.
-
Do DURNFORD Products test on animals? Our products are not tested on animals. They are tested by and with the team at Great Durnford, whose invaluable feedback has made the products what they are.
