OTARDA WINE
. . .
2024 sees the launch of wine from Great Durnford’s sister estate in Tuscany.

OTARDA
The vineyard on Great Durnford’s sister estate in Tuscany was planted in 2017, with the first harvest bottled in 2021. A red wine we have named it OTARDA, which means Great Bustard in Italian. The first bottle was served at The Great Bustard, in Great Durnford, Wiltshire, UK, in September 2024 and is available exclusively there.
OTARDA means Great Bustard in Italian, a mighty bird, which was extinct in the UK, then re-wilded on the Great Durnford Estate in the 1970’s.
Next year will see the launch of three more OTARDA wines.
